Iran’s pistachio exports to Europe grew by 17%

The European Statistics Center (Eurostat) announced that Iran exported 34 million euros of pistachios to Europe in the first 3 months of 2024, which shows a 17% growth compared to the same period last year.

Iran’s pistachio exports to the European Union in the first quarter of last year were announced at 29 million euros.

According to this report, Iran’s shelled pistachio exports to Europe in the months of January to March this year faced a 3% drop compared to the same period last year and reached 8.7 million euros.

In the first 3 months of 2023, Iran exported over 9 million euros of pistachios with skin to Europe.

Iran’s pistachio nut exports to Europe increased by 26% compared to the same period last year and reached 25.3 million euros. Iran had exported 20 million euros of pistachio nuts to Europe in the first 3 months of last year.

Germany was the largest importer of pistachios from Iran in the first 3 months of 2024. Also, of the total export of 34 million euros of Iranian pistachios to Europe in this period, 71% was equal to 24.3 million euros related to German imports from Iran.

After the United States, Iran was the second exporter of pistachios to Europe in the first 3 months of 2024.

American pistachio exports to the European Union in this period were 243 million euros.
